GENEVA, N.Y.--William Smith College field hockey player Jackie Hall (Berkshire School/Newport, R.I.) is the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association's Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 7. The senior's play helped the Herons to a 3-0 week.

At Ithaca on Oct. 2, Hall assisted on two goals in a 3-1 win over the Bombers. Against Hamilton on Oct. 7, Hall scored three goals to lead William Smith to a 4-0 victory over the Continentals. The goals gave the forward 105 points for her career, only the eighth Heron to reach the 100-point mark.

Fifth-ranked William Smith (10-2, 5-0 UCAA) hosts No. 2 SUNY-Cortland on Oct. 10, at 4 p.m. The Herons won the last meeting with the Red Dragons, defeating Cortland 3-2 on penalty strokes to advance to the 2000 NCAA Semifinals.
