GENEVA, N.Y.--William Smith College field hockey player Jessica Kulesa (Garden City/Garden City, N.Y.) is the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association's Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Oct. 14. The sophomore's play helped the Herons to a 1-1 week.

On Oct. 10, Kulesa made 14 saves in William Smith's 2-1 double-overtime loss to third-ranked SUNY-Cortland. Three days later, the goalie stopped 10 shots against 13th-ranked Lebanon Valley College in the Herons' 2-1 win. Kulesa is 9-1 this season with 3.5 shutouts. Her goals against average of 0.90 and save percentage of .897 lead all UCAA goalies.

Second-ranked William Smith (11-3, 5-0 UCAA) wraps up league play this weekend and looks to clinch an NCAA Tournament berth, when it hosts Vassar and Rensselaer on Oct. 19-20.
