Hall, Livingston named NFHCA Senior All-Stars October 30, 2001 GENEVA, N.Y.--William Smith College senior field hockey players Nicky Livingston (Whitney Point/Whitney Point, N.Y.) and Jackie Hall (Berkshire School/Newport, R.I.) have been named Nation Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III North/South Senior All-Stars. Livingston and Hall were among 40 student-athletes selected nationwide to play in the 2001 NFHCA Division III North/South Senior All-Star Game. The contest is scheduled for Nov. 10, at Springfield College for those players not participating in the NCAA Semifinals that same afternoon. Livingston is third on the team in scoring with six goals, including two game-winners, and eight assists for 20 points. During her career, the midfielder has 40 goals and 36 assists for 116 points. She is fourth on the William Smith's all-time scoring list and holds the Heron record for career assists and single-season assists (17). On Sept. 22, Livingston became just the seventh Heron to reach the 100-point plateau. She is a two-time NFHCA second-team All-American, a two-time All-Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association first-team selection, a second-team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference member in 2000, a second-team New York State Women's Athletic Association selection in 1999, and the 1998 UCAA Rookie of the Year. Hall is tied for the team lead in scoring with eight goals, including two game-winners, and six assists for 22 points. During her career the forward has 47 goals and 20 assists for 114 points, placing her fifth on the school's scoring list. On Oct. 6, Hall became the eighth Heron to reach 100 points. It also marked the first time that William Smith teammates had reached 100 points in the same season. She was a 2000 NFHCA second-team All-American, first-team All-UCAA, and an honorable mention All-ECAC selection. In 1999 Hall was a NFHCA second-team Regional All-American and a member of the All-UCAA second-team. William Smith hosts the NCAA Regional Championship this weekend. On Nov.
3, the Herons (13-3) face the College of Wooster (16-3) at 11 a.m., while
Skidmore College (13-2) and Mount Holyoke College (16-5) square off at
2 p.m. The winners will meet in the regional championship on Nov. 4, at
1 p.m. |
