Four Herons earn NYSWCAA honors November 5, 2001 GENEVA, N.Y.--Four William Smith College field hockey players have been named to the 2001 NYSWCAA All-State team. Seniors Jackie Hall (Berkshire School/Newport, R.I.) and Nicky Livingston (Whitney Point/Whitney Point, N.Y.) are members of the first-team, while junior Sheila McKevitt (Clinton/Clinton, N.Y.) and sophomore Jessica Kulesa (Garden City/Garden City, N.Y.) earned spots on the second-team. Hall led the team scoring this season with 10 goals, including five game-winners, and six assists for 26 points. The forward finishes her career with 49 goals and 20 assists for 118 points, tying her for fourth place on the William Smith all-time scoring list with Livingston. On Oct. 6, Hall became the eighth Heron to reach the 100-point plateau. Livingston was third on the team in scoring with six goals, including two game-winners, and 10 assists for 22 points. The midfielder ends her William Smith career with 40 goals and 38 assists for 118 points. She holds the Heron records for career assists and single-season assists (17). On Sept. 22, she became just the seventh player in school history to score 100 points in her career, just ahead of Hall. McKevitt was second on the team in scoring this season with 10 goals, including two game-winners, and four assists for 24 points. The forward has scored 29 goals and assisted on 12 others for 70 points in her three seasons. Kulesa started 14 of the Herons' 18 games this season, posting a record of 12-2. The goalie recorded 3.5 shutouts, a goals against average of 0.96 and a save percentage of .878 in 1025 minutes. William Smith was 14-4 this season, winning the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Conference for the second straight year with a 7-0 record and advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinals.
