Heron golfers compete in Mt. Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass.—The William Smith golf team finished 15th out of 15 teams in the Mount Holyoke College Invitational at the par 72 The Orchards Golf Club.
Sophomore Nickie Calandra (Camden/Blossvale, N.Y.) was the top Heron in the clubhouse, finishing the 36-hole event with a score of 179 (92-87). She was tied for 32nd in a field of 80 golfers. Classmate Lauren Zeitler (Sayville/Sayville, N.Y.) was tied for 56th with a score of 193 (95-98).
William Smith returns to the links on Oct. 2, when the Herons compete in the Cortland State Tournament.
