Herons end fall play at Wellesley

WELLESLEY, Mass.—The William Smith golf team closed out its fall season at the Wellesley Fall Invitational on Oct. 14-15. The Herons carded a team score of 788 on the par-72 Nehoiden Golf Course to finish in seventh place out of eight teams.
Sophomores Nickie Calandra (Camden/Blossvale, N.Y.) and Lauren Zeitler (Sayville/Sayville, N.Y.) were the top two finishers for William Smith. Calandra recorded the lowest score for the Herons, tallying an 87 in round one, and an 88 in round two, to end up at 31 over par and 17th out of 41 golfers. Zeitler tied for 23rd, registering a 94 and a 92.
