ELMIRA, N.Y.—William Smith sophomore Nickie Calandra (Camden/Blossvale, N.Y.) won the Nazareth Spring Golf Tournament at the Mark Twain Golf Course today. Overall, the Herons finished third in the four-team event.

Calandra carded a career-low 84 on the par 72 5,528-yard course. She is the first William Smith golfer to win a tournament since the program received varsity status in 2004. Calandra was two strokes better than Allegheny's Allison Bruckner. Sophomore Lauren Zeitler (Sayville/Sayville, N.Y.) was the second Heron in the clubhouse, placing eighth overall with a 97.

The Gators won the team title with a score of 362, 28 strokes better than Cortland. William Smith posted a team score of 410, beating Nazareth by 12 strokes.
