GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith College golf team defeated Nazareth College in a duel match this afternoon at the Clifton Springs Country Club. First-year Nikki Calandra (Camden/Blossvale, N.Y.) carded a 42 on the par-36 front nine to lead the Herons to a 198-205 victory over the Golden Flyers.

Senior Val Dolan (Notre Dame Academy/Greenbush, Mass.) shot a 50 to post a third place finish. Sophomore Maddie Brooks (Westminster/New Caanan, Conn.) and senior Kara Doyle (Newton Country Day School/Southborough, Mass.) contributed solid scores to secure the win.

William Smith and Nazareth will complete their home and home series on Sept. 26 at 3:30 p.m. when they travel to the Irondequoit Country Club.
