Get HWS lacrosse scores straight to your cell phone

GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart and William Smith Colleges have teamed up with Stretch Internet to deliver alumni, alumnae, family, and fans lacrosse scores straight to their cell phones. Stretch Internet’s eScores will allow the Athletic Communications staff to send out a text message to fans with the score of Hobart and William Smith lacrosse games as soon as the final horn sounds.
The service is free to all subscribers. (Fans should check with their cellular service provider as to the cost of receiving text messages.)

The service will be expanded to include other team sports in the upcoming fall and winter seasons.
eScores was brought to the Colleges’ by WEOS-FM Station Manager Mike Black. The campus’ radio station also plans to utilize eScores to update listeners on broadcast schedule changes.
The 2006 lacrosse season gets underway William Smith takes on Franklin & Marshall at 9 a.m. on March 14 in Wellington, Fla.
