Baird named ECAC Upstate Goalie of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College junior Morgan Baird (Pingree School/Gloucester, Mass.) was named the ECAC Upstate Goalie of the Week today, after her 48-save performance in three Heron lacrosse games last week.
Baird led the Herons to a 2-1 week, including a 10-8 win over St. John Fisher in which she collected a career-high 26 saves, highlighted by three key stops in the waning minutes of play. She also tallied 13 saves in a 10-8 loss to No. 13 Cortland, and picked up nine in a 15-5 victory over Denison.
Baird recorded a .767 goals against average on the week with a .676 save percentage, and earned the Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week award as well.
William Smith will be in action again on April 6, when it travels to Clarkson for a conference game at 4 p.m.
