GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College senior Sarah Dillon (Blair Academy/Oldwick, N.J.) recently added the ECAC Upstate Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week award to the pile of honors she has earned over the past few days. A midfielder, Dillon led the Herons to two conference wins last weekend, and was tabbed the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week as well as the RACA Co-Female Athlete of the Week for her outstanding play.
Dillon racked up 20 points in two games, including a career-high 12 points on seven goals and five assists, in a 23-11 rout of Clarkson. She went on to tally two goals and six assists the next day in a 15-6 victory over St. Lawrence. Dillon leads the league in points with 44.
William Smith, currently ranked 14th in Division III, is 7-2 overall and undefeated in the Liberty League with a 4-0 mark. The Herons will be in action again this weekend, when they host Rochester on April 13 and No. 9 Hamilton on April 14. Both games will be broadcast on www.ECAC.tv.
