GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College first-year Molly Fitzgerald (Gould Academy/Sudbury, Mass.) was tabbed the Liberty League Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Year today. Also receiving league honors was senior Sarah Dillon (Blair Academy/Oldwick, N.J.), junior Sarah Davidson (South Burlington/South Burlington, Vt.), and senior Jessica Scott (Wayneflete School/Portland, Maine). The awards are voted on by the league’s coaches.

This spring she recorded a career-high 12 points (7-5) in a win over Clarkson, the first part of a two-game 20-point outburst. Dillon was named the league’s Offensive Performer of the Week, RACA Co-Female Athlete of the Week, and ECAC Upstate Player of the Week following that performance. A three-time all-league selection, Dillon also leads the Herons in draw controls with 37.

Davidson was named to the All-Liberty League second team. A two-time all-league defender, Davidson leads the team in ground balls with 27. She has won 21 draw controls on the year, and also tallied a goal and an assist. Against the Golden Knights, Davidson collected a season-high seven GBs and netted a goal.

Scott, a midfielder, was tabbed all-league honorable mention. This season she totaled 13 goals and nine assists, picked up 17 ground balls, and won 27 draw controls.
