Shea named RACA co-Female Athlete of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College senior Megan Shea (Mountain Lakes/Doylestown, Pa.) was recently named the Rochester Area Colleges Athletics Co-Female Athlete of the Week after scoring six points in a 14-2 blowout of the Nazareth lacrosse team.
A co-captain, Shea lit up the Golden Flyers’ with four goals, two assists, and three ground balls, leading the Herons to their second win of the season. Leading the team with 12 goals, five assists, and 17 points this season, the attacker has scored at least five points in all three games this season. Her 231 points on 153 goals and 78 assists is just 16 points shy of the third spot on the William Smith career list.
Ranked fourth in the nation, William Smith is 2-1 this season, with its one loss coming at the hands of second-ranked Amherst College. The Herons will play their home opener on March 28, against St. Lawrence at 4 p.m.
