GENEVA, N.Y.—Sophomore forward Laura Burnett-Kurie (Oyster River/Durham, N.H.) was selected as the ECAC Division III Upstate Co-Offensive Player of the Week this afternoon.

During William Smith’s two matches last week, Burnett-Kurie had a hand in all three Heron tallies. On Oct. 11, she netted a pair of goals to lead fifth-ranked William Smith to a 2-0 road victory over RIT. She leads the Liberty League in points (27), goals (12), and points per game (2.25). On Oct. 15, Burnett-Kurie registered an assist on the game-winning goal as the Herons’ picked up their 11th victory during a 1-0 win against Nazareth College.

She was also selected as the Liberty League Co-Offensive Performer of the Week.

William Smith returns to conference action on Oct. 21 as the team travels to Vassar College for a 4 p.m. showdown.
