11 Herons named to All-Academic Team

GENEVA, N.Y.—Eleven William Smith College soccer players were recently named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team, after leading the Herons to its 19th consecutive postseason berth and its second ECAC Championship in four years. William Smith ended its 23rd straight winning season with an 11-6-3 overall record.

To earn a spot on the Liberty League All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2, and be at least a sophomore academically. The following Herons were named to the All-Academic Team:

• Senior Nikki Dudley (Chittenango/Chittenango, N.Y.), environmental studies major
• Sophomore Allison Foust (Mt. Mansfield Union/Richmond, Vt.)*
• Senior Ashley Kent (Westfield/Westfield, N.J.), media and society major
• Senior Alex Rieben (Guilford/Guilford, Conn.), English major
• Sophomore Rayza Santiago (Webster Schroeder/Webster, N.Y.)*
• Junior Jamie Stevens (Dryden/Dryden, N.Y.), economics and international relations major
• Junior Leigh Williamson (Arlington/Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), French major
• Junior Gabrielle Allidi (Liverpool/Liverpool, N.Y.), media and society major
• Sophomore Ali Art (Herricks/Manhasset Hills, N.Y.)*
• Junior Christa Barnes (Red Creek/Jordan, N.Y.), Spanish major
• Junior Laura Burnett-Kurie (Oyster River/Durham, N.H.), psychology major

* William Smith College students do not have to declare a major until their second semester as a sophomore.
