Phillip earns Liberty League Award

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith senior Heather Phillip (Cayuga/King Ferry, N.Y.) was named the Liberty League Women’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week today, after leading the Herons to a 3-1 win over Hamilton last Saturday.
Phillip led the offense against the Continentals, totaling a goal and an assist in William Smith’s only game of the week. She assisted on the first Heron goal, before netting what would become the game-winner in the 69th minute of play.
The Herons are undefeated in league play (3-0-0) and hold a 6-3-0 overall record. They will travel to St. Lawrence on Oct. 6 for a conference match at 4 p.m.
