William Smith remains undefeated in Liberty League

GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith soccer team remains undefeated in the Liberty League after handily defeating St. Lawrence today, 4-0. The Herons improve to 7-3-0 overall and 4-0-0 in league play, while the Saints drop to 5-5-1 and 1-2-1 in the league.

The William Smith offense was led by senior Heather Phillip (Cayuga/King Ferry, N.Y.) with two goals. Sophomore Katie Compton (The Loomis Chaffee School/West Hartford, Conn.) tallied a goal and an assist, while junior Laura Burnett-Kurie (Oyster River/Durham, N.H.) also added a goal.

Senior goalkeeper Nikki Dudley (Chittenango/Chittenango, N.Y.) recorded two saves en route to her third shutout of the season.

The Herons will be on the road tomorrow (10/7) when they take on Clarkson in a conference game at 2 p.m.
