GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College goalkeeper Nikki Dudley (Chittenango/Canastota, N.Y.) was recently named the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week. She has earned conference recognition six times this season, earning rookie honors five times and Defensive Player of the Week once.

In the Herons’ lone game last week, Dudley made seven saves in a 1-0 win over Cortland in the regular season finale. She leads the UCAA with eight shutouts this season, two more than any other keeper in the league.

Ranked 22nd in this week’s NSCAA National Poll, William Smith returns to action on Nov. 8, in the UCAA Semifinal hosted by top-seeded Union College. The Herons earned the second seed and will play third seeded Hamilton College at 1:30 p.m. The winner will advance to the championship match at 1 p.m. on Nov. 9, for the conference title and the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
