Perrigo named Player of the Week
October 22, 2001
GENEVA, N.Y.--The Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association has named William Smith College junior forward Kristin Perrigo (Liverpool/Liverpool, N.Y.) its Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 21. She helped the Herons to a 3-0 week.
At RIT on Oct. 18, Perrigo scored a goal and recorded an assist in William Smith's 3-0 victory. She capped her week with a two-goal performance on Oct. 20, in a 6-1 win over Cortland. The junior scored the game-winner on a penalty kick. Perrigo is second on the team in scoring with eight goals and nine assists for 25 points.
The Herons (15-1-0, 7-0-0 UCAA) close out the regular season on Oct.
24, when they host the University of Rochester at 3:30 p.m. Last season
in Rochester, William Smith defeated the Yellowjackets, 1-0, in double-overtime.
