Perrigo adds another award to lengthy resume

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith senior forward Kristin Perrigo (Liverpool/Liverpool, N.Y.) was named the RACA Co-Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 16. The Most Outstanding Player of the ECAC Northeast Women’s Soccer Tournament led the Herons to the title with two goals, both game-winners, and two assists in three games.

Against Plattsburgh in the quarterfinal round, Perrigo netted the game-winner in a 3-1 Heron triumph. In the championship game against the University of Rochester, she tallied the game-winner, her conference leading seventh of the season, and assisted on a pair of insurance goals. Perrigo led William Smith (15-5-2) with nine goals and 21 points this year.

For her career, Perrigo scored 37 goals and assisted on 25 others for 99 points. She ranks third on the William Smith career assists list, and fifth on the all-time goals and points lists. During her career, Perrigo led the Herons to a 61-16-4 overall record, three NCAA Tournament appearances, including two quarterfinal appearances, and the 2003 ECAC Northeast Championship.

A four-time All-UCAA selection, Perrigo is a two-time NSCAA All-Region honoree (2000, 2001).

RACA, Rochester Area College Athletics, is an association that recognizes the outstanding achievements of student-athletes from the 10 Rochester area colleges and universities.
