Stachura named Player of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y.--For the second time this season, the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association named William Smith College junior forward Alyson Stachura (Pittsford Sutherland/Pittsford, N.Y.) its Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 14. She helped the Herons to a 2-0 week.
Against St. Lawrence University on Oct. 12, Stachura scored three goals to lead William Smith to the 5-2 win. The game was the junior's third multiple goal game of the season and fourth of her career. She followed up her hat trick performance with a single goal in the Herons 9-0 rout of Clarkson University on Oct. 13. Stachura leads William Smith in scoring with 12 goals and an assist for 25 points.
The Herons (12-1-0, 6-0-0 UCAA) return to action on Oct. 16, when they
travel to RIT to face the Tigers at 4 p.m. Last season, William Smith
shutout RIT, 6-0, in Geneva.
