UCAA names Dudley Rookie of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y.—For the fourth time in the past five weeks, first-year goalie Nikki Dudley (Chittenango/Conastota, N.Y.) was named the Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week by the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association. She has garnered either rookie honors or defensive player of the week recognition five of the six times in which the conference has presented weekly awards.
Dudley posted two shutouts this past weekend, helping the Herons stay atop the conference standings with a perfect 5-0 record. She grabbed two saves in the Herons’ 4-0 victory over Clarkson and made six saves the following afternoon, to secure a 1-0 overtime victory against St. Lawrence.
Sporting a conference high five shutouts this season, Dudley ranks second in the UCAA with a 0.61 goals against average.
Ranked fifth in this week's NSCAA New York Region Rankings, the Herons (8-2-1) hit the road on Oct. 14, to Nazareth, ranked third in the region and 18th nationally, at 4 p.m.
