GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith junior Katie Hendricks (The Shipley School/Haverford, Pa.) picked up her second weekly award today for her outstanding play last week for the Heron squash team. One day removed from the Liberty League Women’s Squash Performer of the Week Award, she was named the Rochester Area College Athletics (RACA) Tri-Female Athlete of the Week.

Hendricks won four matches, losing only one game in the No. 1 position during the Mount Holyoke Tournament. She helped William Smith win all four matches, toppling Franklin & Marshall 7-2, Connecticut College 7-2, Mount Holyoke 8-1, and Tufts 5-4.

Now in their seventh varsity season, the Herons have compiled a 13-2 overall record, the most wins in the program’s brief history. William Smith will put its six-match winning streak on the line at 2 p.m., on Feb. 5, when Colgate visits the Smith Squash Center.

RACA is not a conference, but the 10 Rochester Area institutions of higher learning (Brockport State University, Geneseo State University, Hobart College, Keuka College, Nazareth College, Roberts Wesleyan College, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. John Fisher College, the University of Rochester, and William Smith College) that work together to recognize the outstanding achievements of their student-athletes.
