Heron squash puts 2 on All-Academic Team

GENEVA, N.Y.—Two William Smith College squash student-athletes were recently named to the 2006-07 Liberty League All-Academic Team.

To earn a spot on the Liberty League All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 and be at least a sophomore academically. The following Herons were named to the All-Academic Team:

• Senior Katie Hendricks (The Shipley School/Haverford, Pa.), economics major
• Senior Serena Turner (The Taft School/Locust Valley, N.Y.), media & society major

The Herons are 3-6 overall, with six regular season matches left to play. William Smith will host St. Lawrence and Toronto on Feb. 3 at the Smith Squash Center. The matches will begin at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.
