Costanza named UCAA Diver of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College first-year diver Sarah Costanza (Gwynedd Mercy/Ambler, Pa.) was named the Diver of the Week this afternoon by the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association. This marks the second time this season she has received the honor.
At the Rensselaer Invitational on Jan. 18, she won the 3-meter competition and finished fifth in the 1-meter event. Her victory on the 3-meter board was by just 2.8 points over Connecticut College’s Heidi Freeman with a score of 236.85. In the 1-meter competition, Costanza posted a score of 196.2.
The Herons top diver earned her first UCAA Diver of the Week award following tri-meet victories over Alfred and Division I Canisius on Nov. 16.
William Smith returns to action at 7 p.m., on Jan. 21, when the Herons host RIT.
