GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith sophomore Sarah Costanza (Gwynedd Mercy/Ambler, Pa.) was named the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association Diver of the Week by the league office. It’s the second time she has received the award this season.

Costanza won both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions in a dual meet with Rochester and in the Skidmore Sprint Invitational. She is undefeated in dual meets this season and boasts nine victories on both boards combined. At Rochester, Costanza recorded a score of 239 on the 1-meter board, while posting a 233.2 on the 3-meter board. She won both events by more than 20 points. At Skidmore, Costanza won both boards by more than 19 points, scoring 225.7 on the 1-meter and 230.45 on the 3-meter.

The 2003 UCAA Co-Diver of the Meet after winning the 1-meter championship at the league meet in December, Costanza has won the UCAA Diver of the Week award six times since arriving on campus a year and a half ago.

The William Smith swimming and diving team is home for the final time this season on Feb. 4, when the Herons host Ithaca College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
