Kelley serves up Liberty League praise

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith junior Meghan Kelley (Norwell/Norwell, Mass.) was named the Liberty League Co-Performer of the Week this afternoon.
Kelley opened the season with a singles and doubles victory as the Herons dispatched St. John Fisher, 8-1. At second singles, she easily handled her opponent, 6-1, 6-1, while she teamed with first-year Chelsea Rauck (Columbus School for Girls/Buxley, Ohio) to win at first doubles, 8-2.
William Smith (1-0) returns to action at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 14, when the Herons travel to Cortland State. William Smith is 3-2 against the Red Dragons over the past four seasons.
