GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith tennis players senior Molly Patterson (Mountain Lakes/Mountain Lakes, N.J.) and junior Karen Newbury (Maine-Endwell/Johnson City, N.Y.) recently were honored by the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association. Patterson was named second-team All-NYSWCAA singles, while the tandem of Patterson and Newbury earned second-team All-NYSWCAA doubles honors.

This marks the third consecutive year the she has earned All-NYSWCAA second-team honors, in addition to back-to-back All-Liberty League selections. Patterson has also won the Rochester Area College Athletics Women’s Tennis Player of the Year award in each of the past two seasons.
As a doubles team in the fall, Patterson and Newbury, who spent the spring semester in the College’s study abroad program in Bath, England, posted a 9-7 record in the No. 1 position.
