Rauck earns All-Liberty League honors again

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College sophomore Chelsea Rauck (Columbus School for Girls/Bexley, Ohio) was named to the All-Liberty League Tennis Team for the second straight season.

The Herons’ top singles player, Rauck posted an 11-2 record this fall, including a 5-0 mark in dual matches. The 2005-06 ITA National Rookie of the Year has a career singles record of 36-8 (.818). In doubles play, Rauck is 20-18 overall.

The 2005 Liberty League Player and Rookie of the Year, Rauck earned a spot in the 2006 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Singles Championship. She was the first Heron in over a decade to earn a spot in the 32-player field.

William Smith was 2-3 in dual matches this fall and placed sixth in the Liberty League Championship Tournament. The Herons return to the courts on March 4 when they take on conference rival St. Lawrence.
