Herons shatter Peace, 9-0

RALEIGH, N.C.—The William Smith tennis team posted a convincing 9-0 victory over Peace College this afternoon. The win evens the Herons' record at 4-4, while the Pacers fall to 2-5.
Sophomore Chelsea Rauck improved to 8-0 at first singles in dual matches with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Lliza Bridgers. Junior Tara Ware remained unbeaten with her third straight win of the spring, defeating Anna Jane Hesmer 6-1, 6-1 at second singles. First-year Shari Damon also remained perfect for the spring, winning at fourth singles over Kristin Robison 6-1, 6-2.
William Smith will close out its three match swing through North Carolina on March 16, when the Herons visit Methodist College.
