Rauck wins Liberty League weekly honor

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College sophomore Chelsea Rauck (Columbus School for Girls/Bexley, Ohio) was named the Liberty League Co-Performer of the Week by the league office today.
Rauck was the lone winner for the Herons in a 7-2 loss to regionally-ranked Skidmore (No. 15) on Saturday. She defeated Danielle Fancher 4-6, 6-1, 6-0, and teamed up with junior Tara Ware (Avon/Avon, Conn.) to down the Thoroughbreds’ Fancher and Kate Hugo at first doubles 8-2.
The 15th-ranked singles player in the Northeast Region by the ITA, Rauck owns a 15-3 record this season and is 31-7 for her career.
William Smith is back in action on March 31, when the Herons travel to the College of New Jersey (No. 8 in the region) for a match scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
