Alcohol Awareness Week, 1998

In cooperation with Student Life and Leadership and Sigma Chi fraternity we engaged in two activities during the week of October 19 - 23. Brief descriptions and links to these activities are listed below.

• Healthy Life Styles are on the Rise. 2,000 sport cups with BAC calculator stickers and a sticker showing one result of a recent survey showing how campus norms are becoming more healthy. This activity was sponsored by the HWS Student Life and Leadership Initiative. Here are some pictures of the cups and of the stickers students saw on the cups:

• Public Lecture, The Science of Feeling Good and Feeling Bad with Alcohol, presented by David W. Craig, Professor of Chemistry. This lecture was sponsored by Sigma Chi fraternity. See slides.
